The kingdoms, while possessing magic, haven’t many who can use the magic. There is magic even a baby can use. Magic installed into devices. But few know how to harness their magical capabilities. Those few that do, are known as Magic Users. Some were taught by previous Magic Users, others learned their magical capabilities from the creatures of myth.
In an alternate world, in this modern day, the world is very similar to our earth, but at the same time, it’s nothing alike at all. It has the same past and present nations as the original Earth, but it has a more complex and mystical life-style. Their ingenuity is magic, not science. Their science is magic. Their fact is the original Earth’s fiction.
Another difference in these worlds is their layout. Each kingdom has little “colonies” that are connected by dirt roads. In between these colonies, the most you will find is inns for travelers and perhaps a caravan of people traveling together.
In this magical world, items can be used to control creatures you’d think uncontrollable. For the tamer and more willing ones, at most it would take a bracelet or ring binding. However, for those terribly dangerous ones, much more bindings are necessary, rings, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, collars. The danger level of the creature will decide how many bindings are deemed necessary to tame it. The only ones with the abilities to catch these creatures, are Magic Users.
